L’iPad 2 avait surpris en proposant
des images 3D sans lunettes grâce à sa caméra frontale et la puissance de
son processeur. Les japonais d’Ochanomizu Women's University proposent eux une
nouvelle façon de voir des objets en 3D sur son écran d’iPad 1 ou 2, difficile
à exploiter pour les jeux, mais intrigante par son ingéniosité. Cette méthode
demande un accessoire et ne semble pas très pratique de premier abord.

L’accessoire en question est un cylindre en aluminium (conducteur de
l’électricité humaine donc), qui, appliqué sur un écran d’iPad, a le même effet
que deux doigts. Un objet est représenté déformé sur l’écran de l’iPad de
façons à ce qu’il retrouve toute ses proportions une fois reflété sur le
cylindre. Ca paraît contraignant dit comme ça, mais la simplicité de la
rotation du cylindre métallique pour observer l’objet désiré en 3D semble très
instinctive.
Difficile néanmoins d’imaginer des applications de ce procédé qui convainquent le grand public. Mais pourquoi pas.

Je ne vois pas bien ce que ça apporte de plus qu'une vision dite à 360° d'un objet.
