Ça y est, le premier magazine créé à 100 % pour l'iPad a
été lancé officiellement aujourd'hui à New York.
Les éléments
indiqués précédemment dans nos billets sont confirmés à savoir un prix de
vente de 0,99 $ pour 7 jours, ils seront prélevés automatiquement chaque
semaine ou via un abonnement à l'année (39,99 $).
Ce magazine cible les 15 millions d'Américains qui devraient être en
possession d'un iPad en 2011 selon la direction de The daily.
Comme commenté durant la session de Questions / Réponses, ce magazine peut
être commercialisé à ce prix car il coûte finalement assez peu cher à
produire : pas de papier, pas de distribution.

En terme de contenu, on y retrouvera des de l'information et du
divertissement avec une emphase particulière sur le multimédia. Des
photos à 360 degrés et des vidéos en HD sont intégrées dans l'application qui a
pour objectif de produire 100 pages de contenu tous les jours,
disponibles le matin.
La navigation se fait via un carrousel et bien que le contenu soit sur iPad uniquement, il est possible de partager des informations par mail ainsi que sur Facebook ou Twitter.
Parmi les éléments partagés lors de la conférence, il est à noter que si le
lancement se fait sur l'iPad, il n'y a pas d'exclusivité et
que lorsque des tablettes seront établies alors il pourra être décliné sur
